The opportunity
The School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Auckland is looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to teach and research in the field of Urban Design.

The School of Architecture and Planning in the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries is New Zealand's leading educator of architects, urban designers and urban planners, and is highly regarded for its advanced interdisciplinary study and research, innovative design focus and studio based pedagogy. It has a diverse and internationally recognised academic staff and strong connections with its professional communities. Teaching and research are supported by excellent digital and traditional workshops and specialist studio facilities. About the role
The successful applicant will be expected to provide innovative and high-quality studio, lecture-based and seminar teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in urban design. They will supervise masters and doctoral students and be committed to delivering a world-class research and publication programme. They will also be expected to make a contribution to school or faculty service and leadership.

Applicants must hold a university qualification in urban design and a PhD in either architecture, urban planning (planning) or landscape architecture.
