Administrative Assistant - DC
THE ROLE | HR&A seeks a full- or part-time Administrative Assistant for our Washington, DC office. The Administrative Assistant will collaborate with office teams and provide administrative support to both the DC office and Raleigh office. Responsibilities will include: meeting scheduling, travel booking, expense report preparations, SalesForce management, basic IT troubleshooting, office management, and various research tasks as required. Depending on experience and capabilities, responsibilities may include: marketing support, copyediting support, and formatting and production of client-facing Word and PowerPoint documents. Candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and a designated manager in the local DC Office.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in business administration, experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic office environment, demonstrated capacity to manage and multi-task, excellent analytical skills, and resourceful problem-solving skills. The DC office is a small office and requires a “jack-of-all-trades” administrative assistant to support operations and efficiency through a variety of short- and long-term tasks. This position can offer excellent growth opportunities within HR&A.
SKILLS REQUIRED | We are looking for an individual interested in supporting our small offices. The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; be extremely organized; and be able to manage multiple assignments at once. Experience executing short-term tasks while balancing long-term priorities is required. They will think independently, act entrepreneurially, learn quickly, and pay attention to the details.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED | Candidates should have a minimum of an associate’s degree and 1-3 years of work experience supporting office operations in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office – advanced proficiency is preferred. They should be able to handle quick-turnaround requests in a fast-paced work environment with poise and maturity. The ideal candidate will be interested in growing with the company.

COMPENSATION | We offer competitive compensation packages, based on qualifications and experience. Each year, the firm will contribute funds to this long-term wealth-building account, and may make contributions to other retirement accounts. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that goes well beyond coverage of 90-95% of healthcare premiums, dental and vision coverage. The starting base salary for this position is $45,000 - $50,000/year assuming full-time employment.
