OUTREACH COORDINATOR - Staten Island North Shore Project (full-time)
MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) is moving forward with the development of a transit system to provide faster and more reliable travel along Staten Island's North Shore, to and from the St. George Terminal. NYCT is seeking an Outreach Coordinator (as a contract staffed position) to support the upcoming environmental review process for the recommended North Shore transit alternative. The Outreach Coordinator will be part of a dedicated team working from the NYCT client site (downtown Manhattan) to coordinate Agency and public stakeholder activities.
This 15-month, full-time position requires a flexible creative thinker with excellent coordination and communication skills who can work effectively as part of a cohesive team. Must be a motivated, self-starter who takes initiative. Role supports outreach along the North Shore of Staten Island and may include tasks such as copywriting, public meeting/event logistics, database maintenance, recording meeting minutes, and other project-related administrative support.
Permanent employment opportunities following the contract term are available with the outreach placement firm. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour with benefits.
