Principal Transportation Planner

The City of Anaheim Public Works Department – Engineering Division is seeking for a Principal Transportation Planner to manage exciting transportation initiatives and transit planning projects, administer the Anaheim Tourism Improvement District (ATID) program for projects within the Anaheim Resort Area and Platinum Triangle, and coordinate with local and regional transportation agencies such as OCTA, SCAG and Caltrans.

Qualified candidates will possess four (4) years of responsible professional experience in transportation and transit planning including one (1) year of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience supplemented by a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, engineering, or related field. 

Candidates must possess one of the following certificates:

  • State of California registration as a Professional Civil Engineer
  • State of California registration as a Professional Traffic Engineer
  • American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) certificate
  • Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) certificate
