Supervise, manage, plan, and coordinate the programs and activities of the Development Services Division. Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public. Provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Planning Director, Board of County Commissioners, and the Board of Adjustment.


  • Experience: Four (4) to six (6) years of increasingly responsible public or private sector experience in professional urban and regional planning and/or development, including three (3) years of supervisory responsibility.
  • Education and Training: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban and regional planning, urban design, geography, public administration,  landscape architecture, engineering or a closely related field.
  • License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license. Certification and/or licensure such as the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) or another applicable certification or license is strongly preferred.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
