Neighborhood Senior Planner / Planning
$23.72-$27.57/hr., DOQ; 40 hours with some nights and weekends required
This position will be responsible for planning efforts, including policy, economic investment, housing, and design/redevelopment of existing neighborhoods for sustainability, health, vibrancy and safety. Will perform a variety of professional level duties including drafting neighborhood plans, citizen engagement efforts, area and corridor planning, ordinance revisions, preservation planning, economic development, grant administration, development review, and related functions. Will contribute in future planning and visioning, including civic engagement and associated policies. Thorough understanding of town planning, traditional design, and new urban principles and practices, including the charrette process. Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Planning required. Master’s degree in Planning preferred. Five years of professional planning experience may substitute for a Master’s degree. AICP certification preferred. Three years of responsible experience in municipal planning and zoning required.
