Tim Jackson

Tim Jackson is chairman of the New Orleans City Planning Commission, having been appointed by Mayor Marc Morial in 2001. A planning, zoning, and land use consultant with over 18 years of experience, Tim has served as a planner for the City of Kenner, Louisiana, and was the planning director for the City of Mandeville, Louisiana.
Tim is an active member of the American Planning Association, the American Institute of Certified Planners and is a past president of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Planning Association. He currently serves as director of the Louisiana APA Education and Research Foundation.
Tim was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and raised in New Orleans and Houston, Texas. He received a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans.
After living in Houston for ten months following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Tim is again living in New Orleans with his wife Nancy and two teenage sons, Connor and Brendan.
