Large New-Urbanist Transit-Oriented Project Launches
8 May 2003 - 6:00am
The south Miami-Dade county suburban area known as Kendall begins a massive 324-acre central-district redevelopment following New Urbanists principals.
"The biggest draw for this development," (real estate broker) Mr.Ron Shuffield said, "is the lifestyle that is being created. You can walk downstairs after you get home from work and have dinner or an ice cream cone without ever seeing your car. It's not rocket science. It's what every major (metro area) in the country has done."
