Searching For 'Sensible Sprawl'

A coalition of environmental groups advocates the establishment of a state-level Office of Smart Growth in Michigan.

"Public hearings today, including one in Pontiac, and next week, including one in Detroit, will help shape the decisions of the 24-member group. The council includes representatives of environmental groups, the building industry, elected officials, the business community and local government officials...A coalition of environmental groups is pushing for the establishment of a state-level Office of Smart Growth."
