Businesses, Students Collaborate To Transform A Streetscape

A collaboration between store owners and architecture students aims to transform the streetscape of University Avenue.
For the owners, the project means access to free labor. For the students, it provides not just theoretical class work but real-world experience... A federal grant will provide up to $10,000 in matching funds per storefront for supplies to improve building exteriors. Owners must pay half the cost for labor...The project could save store owners thousands of dollars
