HUD has had a significant influence on the design and construction of much of the nations' housing stock.
Through various regulatory requirements within its insurance programs,theU.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has had asignificant influence on the design and construction of much of thenations' housing stock. "A Study of the HUD Minimum Property StandardsforOne- and Two-Family Dwellings and Technical Suitability of ProductsPrograms" examines the history and impact of those regulations on HUD'ssingle-family operations, as well as those of the larger housingindustry.
