Miami Transit Plan Derailed

Plans for a $400 million commuter train that would connect South Beach to downtown Miami are shelved.
"With such a delaying tactic, the Beach commission essentially expressed to members of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the agency that oversees major transportation projects in the county, that BayLink was unwanted on the Beach, officials said.... 'Basically, the project is dead.'"
