Denver Faces Affordable-housing Crisis
25 February 2003 - 6:00am
Denver is facing a housing crisis but no one is paying attention.
"A housing crisis is brewing in Denver. The city's poorest residents struggle daily to find a safe, affordable place to live. Many of its middle-class working people and professionals search just as hard for homes they can buy.If nothing is done, the ramifications are greater than Denver's facing an exodus of people who cannot find a place to live. Pushing people out of Denver, particularly those who work in the city, is a chief cause of sprawl."
