Bush Plan Proposes Increased Logging

The Bush administration is proposing increased logging in national forests in the Sierra Nevada.
"Roughly 11 million acres of national forests in California's Sierra Nevada mountain range -- an area that includes Lake Tahoe, Mount Lassen and the sequoia forests above Bakersfield -- would be subject to increased logging under new rules being crafted by the Bush administration."
