Suburb-to-Suburb Rail Line Proposed For Chicago

Metra announced plans for a suburban rail link between O'Hare International Airport and the Chicago suburbs.
"Hoping to move beyond its focus on Loop commuters, Metra unveiled a $1.1 billion proposal Wednesday to build a rail line through cities and towns from Joliet to O'Hare Airport...Metra plans to seek major funding for the so-called STAR Line from the federal surface transportation bill, and perhaps another one when that expires"
