The Future Of California's Coastal Commission

A Constitutional defect raises other questions about California's Coastal Commission.
The fight over the composition of the California Coastal Commission hasmoved to the state Legislature and may be headed for the state SupremeCourt. California Planning & Development Report Publisher William Fultonsuggests that now is a good time to reconsider not only the appointmentprocess, but the entire scheme for regulating coastal development.
