A Challenge To Bush's Policy On Climate Change

A bill sponsored by John McCain and Joe Lieberman will clash against the Bush administration's policies on climate change.
The two senators have sponsored a billthe American Investments for Reduction of Emissions Actthat would impose, for the first time, a federal restriction on emissions of [greenhouse gases]... The administration is already saying it will not budge. That is a pity, for many of Mr Bush's business allies would probably support the plan's approach...A number of big polluters, natural denizens of the Bush camp, have pledged to change their ways, voluntarily.
