New Development Doesn't Follow New Urbanism Roots

Critics say Quebec Square, a shopping center in northeast Denver planned for the New Urbanist redevelopment of the city's former airport is a "paean to the automobile."
"Quebec Square, the 740,000- square-foot shopping center in northeast Denver, is the first of five retail centers planned for the 4,700-acre site. But critics call Quebec Square a paean to the automobile. It fails to meet the minimum standards of New Urbanism, they say."
