New Trends In Mega Churches

A new trend in church construction is to design buildings in hopes of attracting people who may not think of entering a traditional buildings with a high steeples.

"These new nontraditional churches often report doubled attendance in their first year of operation, in the Twin Cities and nationally. And most of the growth does not come simply because they are usually built in suburban and exurban high-growth areas. Many are drawing worshipers from all over the Twin Cities... So, what's wrong with an old-fashioned steeple and stained glass? Churches of 100 years ago 'were made to look like fortresses...'"
