Denver Fights Monster Homes With Sweeping Zoning Changes

The Denver City Council approved sweeping, citywide zoning changes that place limits on home sizes and preserve open space in backyards.
"The Denver City Council locked in a plan to install sweeping, citywide zoning changes Monday, placing limits on home sizes and ensuring that yards contain more open space. The new rules were championed by homeowners who said they feared the historic charm of their neighborhoods was being overtaken by expensive "monster houses" that take up an entire lot."
