The latest episode of TransitTrends, a serial YouTube show by moovel, examines the question of whether or not we're ready for autonomous vehicles.
While there has been no shortage of consternation over whether the infrastructure and land uses of cities are prepared for self-driving cars, the latest episode of #TransitTrends examines the question of whether humans are ready to give up control of their cars to robots.
The episode includes a conversation with Lukas Neckermann, author of The Mobility Revolution, who reminds viewers of how quickly society shifted perspective on transportation innovations in the past—from buses, to airplanes, to smartphones. "Within the next five to ten years we will get to that tipping point. It will happen a lot more quickly than most people expect," says Neckermann.
