Salt Lake Light Rail Extension May Be Okayed

City leaders may support a light rail extension in West Valley City.
West Valley City leaders are preparing to go on record supporting a light-rail alignment through two neighborhoods and near two elementary schools...The West Valley City light-rail line is one of two extensions under consideration for the west side of the Salt Lake Valley...An environmental-impact study of the two western extensions is under way, and a decision about which one to build first -- or whether to build both at the same time -- is more than a year away.
