Transforming Detroit's Waterfront

Detroit's mayor announces the creation of a state park and 3-mile walkway along the Detroit River.
"The site, to be dubbed the Tricentennial State Park and Harbor, would be the only one of nearly a hundred parks in Michigan located in the center of a city.People close to the mayor's riverfront planning project say funding is also available to create the long-awaited promenade from Joe Louis Arena to the Belle Isle bridge."
