New Toronto Subway Line Launches

Critics question the economics behind the new Sheppard Avenue subway line in Toronto.
"Transit planners roll their eyes over the economics of a 5.3-kilometre line that goes only halfway to its original destination...Urban planner Joe Berridge, with an international roster of clients, sees how poorly Toronto is handling its transit challenges compared to London, where he has done a lot of work...But some wonder what proportion of the new residents...will actually take transit."
