City Council Says Planning Department is 'Non-Essential'

Cincinnati's Planning Department is among those city services considered "non-essential" by the City Council. Will the city lose its planning department?
Due to anticipated budget cuts, Mayor Charlie Luken of Cincinnati announced last Wednesday that as many as 100 white-collar jobs may be cut. Including amongst those could be its Planning Department and Office of Environmental Management.
