The Kansas City Star publishes the last installment in a five-part series on fixing downtown.
To revive, downtown needs a triad of support from civic, business and philanthropic leaders. "Kansas City finds itself behind our peer cities in most measures of downtown progress and prosperity. There's no shortage of ideas to revitalize downtown. What it really needs, in the eyes of everyone involved, is more leadership. More investment from the business community. More help from City Hall. More focus from local foundations."
