29 October 2002 - 6:00am

The world's mountains are submitting to threats from agriculture, building, war and climate change.

It graphically illustrates seven pressures or causes of environmental change: natural hazards, fire, climate change, infrastructure growth, violent conflict, changes in land cover, and agricultural intensification.
