Disgruntled Bus Riders Protest Rate Hike

Many Detroiters express dissatisfaction with their local bus system that is pushing for a rate increase.
"Dozens of Detroiters testified about a bus system that, they say, needs sweeping changes before it asks cash-strapped riders to dig deeper into their pockets. "Untimely, dirty buses and reduced ridership are not reasons for a fare increase," said Fedewa, who lives on Detroit's east side. "They are reasons to reexamine a failing system.""
