O'Hare Airport Expansion Likely

The Illinois State Supreme Court ruled that the city only needs approval from the state transportation department for any expansion plans.
"Suburban forces opposed to O'Hare expansion expressed disappointment.''Basically, the city's position is they should be able to build all four walls of the house and only be required to come in for a permit for the roof," said Joseph Karaganis, attorney for the Suburban O'Hare Commission. "From a legal standpoint, it's a loss for us, but I don't think it's a significant loss.''"
