New Census Data Shows Atlanta Continues To Sprawl

A soon-to-be created federal designation of metropolitan areas reveals Atlanta's economic influence has extended from a few counties around the city to an area hundreds of miles wide.
"How big could this new Atlanta megalopolis be? From the South Carolina border into Alabama and from the edges of Chattanooga to the fringes of Macon. It's a region larger than nine states, including Massachusetts and New Jersey, and capable of generating a larger combined income than 35 of the 50 states."
