An Ethic That Values Open Space

Individual development decisions may not seem like much but taken together, they add up to an enormous loss. An area the size of the Mall of America is developed every day.
Citizen awareness of land use decision making, and a public conservation ethic are critical to protect Minnesota's urban natural resources. "First, work with elected officials...Second, encourage and support the contributions to open space protection being made by private landowners...Third, raise the importance of open space with friends and neighbors."
