St. George Faces Explosive Growth

St. George, a small town in Utah's southwest corner, is experiencing explosive growth. The Salt Lake Tribute details the challenges the town faces.
"[T]he urgency of debates over a new airport, a proposed water pipeline from Lake Powell and transit are every bit as telling. St. George, you may or may not have noticed, is no longer a sleepy little hideaway for retirees. The city and surrounding Washington County, tucked into Utah's southwest corner, are rapidly evolving into a full-fledged metropolitan zone -- one that in another few decades could rival the Wasatch Front to the north and Las Vegas to the south in size and clout."
