New Terminal To Be Razed At Detroit Metro Airport

Northwest Airlines plans to demolish its recently opened midfield terminal to make way for $100 million expansion.
"Northwest declined to comment on why it plans to tear down most of a concourse that opened only early this year. But an aviation expert speculated that the nation's No. 4 airline sees an opportunity to seize a bigger slice of the Midwest market by flying more regional jets."
