A Governor's Race Silent On Growth

Don't count on a debate about growth during this year's California race for governor.
California Governor Gray Davis has shown little interest in comprehensive land use planning. Republican challenger Bill Simon has detailed policyproposals, but he is keeping them quiet. It adds up to a gubernatorial campaignwithout a serious discussion of growth, says California Planning & DevelopmentReport Publisher William Fulton.
