WTC Proposals Pour In

Newsday provides a slide show of some of the 2,000 designs from citizens, planners and architects have been received.
"The Lower Manhattan Development Corp., the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the site owner, and other government officials have received a wide range of proposals: simple sketches and elegant designs, proposals for sculptures made of ice and efforts to rebuild the towers taller than before.... 'The tail is wagging the dog' said Protetch, referring to the public's influence on development officials, 'and the dog is finally coming around.'"
