The Mall That Set The Standard For All Others

Since the Mall of America opened a decade ago it has reshaped and set the standard for combining retail and entertainment.
"At 4.2 million square feet, the Mall of American can still call itself the nation's largest retail and entertainment shopping center. But could its No. 1 status be upstaged in the future?... According to the International Council of Shopping Centers, 86 malls have either opened or are scheduled to open between 1995 and 2004 across the nation."
