High-tech scavenger hunters are using a GPS and longitude and latitude coordinates on the Internet to find remote archeological sites.

"A high-tech scavenger hunt called geocaching has exploded into Arizona, attracting adventure-seekers but creating panic among authorities who say the game is destroying archaeological sites throughout the state... 'We've got these sites that are so remote, and nobody is supposed to be able to get to them. Now we've got ATV tracks going to them,' said Shelley Rasmussen, a volunteer responsible for protecting archaeological sites."
