'Ticking Timebomb' For NJ Council On Affordable Housing

New Jersey towns are to blame as only 272 towns out of 566 have saught protection under the Council on Affordable Housing.
"...if a builder's lawyer sued a town before it filed an affordable-housing plan with the state, the court would take jurisdiction and override local zoning decisions. Builders and towns have been at legal war across New Jersey ever since.The lawsuits, even the mere threat of them, have resulted in countless sprawling developments -- including so-called affordable housing -- throughout New Jersey."
