Housing agency expected to loosen up on kickback rules.
The US Department of Housing and Urban Developmentissuedits recommendations on the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA)today. The long-awaited changes to RESPA rules are expected to make iteasier for real estate firms, lenders and title companies to earn feesoncross-selling their products without being charged with violatingfederalkick-back laws.
