Plans For SF's Treasure Island Released

A plan for developing the man-made island is finally on paper into an eco-friendly residential community.

"It was dredged from the Bay, hosted a glitzy world's fair and served as the U.S. Navy's gateway to the Pacific for half a century. Now, Treasure Island, known to most people as an exit off the Bay Bridge, is poised to become an eco-friendly residential community just a 10-minute ferry trip from San Francisco's financial district."
