Vision Summit Focuses On Reshaping Tulsa

Over 1000 interested Tulsans gather to hear noted futurist Glen Heimstra and former Indianapolis Mayor Bill Hudnut and provide imput on the future of the Tulsa region.
After two previous failed attempts to gain voter approval for major downtown revitalization plans, a new approach has been used. Newly elected Mayor Bill LaFortune convened a "Vision Summit" to give any interested Tulsans a chance to hear about major urban issues and trends and then provide their opinions on how the city should be revitalized. Nearly all participants believed downtown renewal is critical to the region.
