Riverdale's Subdivision Moratorium

A subdivision moratorium in Riverhead, NY is a good idea only if the city hires more planners and improves planning.
"A year-long moratorium on new subdivisions is a good idea for the Town of Riverhead, but only if the town beefs up its planning staff and completes its master plan. Otherwise, when the moratorium ends next June, the town will drown in the tide of development pressure sweeping eastward," writes Newsday in an editorial about the moratorium.
