Annexing Another County's Land

The Utah Supreme Court outlines the rules for annexing another county's land.
"The state's high court, in a unanimous decision Tuesday, declared the law [allowing a Utah county to annex land in another county] should stand because four other Utah cities also straddle county lines and the statute was not targeted at one community... Grand County had fought the annexation, hoping to keep up to $500,000 in property, sales and hotel-room taxes annually generated by businesses in the eastern part of Green River."
