Bi-state Land Use Coordination
21 June 2002 - 10:00am
A new bi-state panel is being formed to address land use challenges that cross state lines in Washington and Oregon.
A proposed "Bi-State Coordination Committee" may bridge the land-use divide for Southwest Washington and Oregon. The committee would have no independent powers, but governments with land-use authority in Southwest Washington and the Portland metropolitan area would sign an accord to create the committee andagree to let it review and comment on land-use issues that have an effect on transportation.

“
Its very unsuitability for an urban center justifies its current usage as a suburban or ex-urban pattern.
