Global Climate Change Hits Alaska

Global warming will cost Alaska "hundreds of millions of dollars."

In Alaska, "average temperature has risen about seven degrees over the last 30 years...no place is experiencing more startling change from rising temperatures than Alaska... sagging roads, crumbling villages, dead forests, catastrophic fires and possible disruption of marine wildlife...will cost Alaska hundreds of millions of dollars... The social costs of higher temperatures have been mostly negative..."
