Miami-Dade: Make No Small Transit Plans

A $16.9 billion proposed transit plan aims to overhall Miami-Dade County's piecemeal mass transit system.
In Miami-Dade County, a transportation plan unveiled by Mayor Alex Penelas includes $16.9 billion in proposed projects--from light-rail lines to new sidewalks--intended to overhaul the county's piecemeal mass-transit system..."The plan, to be carried out between 2003 and 2025, has morphed into a weighty document that not only details nearly 90 miles of new rapid-transit rail lines and sharply expanded bus services, but also some 15,000 neighborhood-level improvements."
