The Future Of Mixed Use Town Centers

Developers met recently in Las Vegas to learn from several successful mixed use projects.
Industry leaders gathered together to discuss the latest trend in commerical developments -- mixed use town centers that combine retail, office and residential uses in village atmosphere. "Although they are only a small slice of all shopping center development, town centers are the fastest growing slice." Of particular concern to developers is the preventing the "cookie-cutter" effect that plagued many shopping centers in the 1980s and 90s.
