Weekend Inspiration: Kids Design 'Dream Cars of the Future'

The ideas generated by a global competition that asks children to design the "dream car of the future" are incredibly aspirational in their pragmatism.

Adele Peters shares ideas created for the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, "a global competition that asks kids to draw their vision of the 'dream car of the future' each year."

While many of the ideas are far fetched to the point of preciousness, many of the ideas are, as Peters describes them, "creative approaches to solving actual problems."

For instance, "cars that could scoop up and recycle trash off the street as they drove along" and another that works as a mobile 3D printer—of houses.
