Segway Claims Its First Casualty

The safety of the human transporter is called into question after a recent incident.
A member of the Central Atlanta Progress Ambassador Force toppled from one of the personal scooters while going up a driveway to the sidewalk. "Atlanta is one of the first cities to buy into the concept of using the Segway scooters, manufactured out of Manchester, N.H., for use by city employees." This incident fuels the debate currently going on in state and local governments on whether the scooter should be allowed on sidewalks alongside pedestrians.
