"There have been whispers about what will happen to that 52 acres of land not far from Isle of Hope. And this week we got the news. The nation's largest retail company, Wal-Mart Stores, wants to build a SuperCenter on one of the area's prettiest corners. Line up the concrete trucks, get out the survey tape. It's time to pave another bit of paradise and put up another parking lot."
